TinyFish pricing
TinyFish gives Search and Fetch away at any balance and bills Agent per step and Browser per minute, so the real constraint is a rate limit rather than a price.
one default result set; no fan-out
Fixed for this page; volume is the control.Every available option was priced in advance from published vendor rules. Changing a control only switches between those checked options; nothing is sent anywhere and no account is needed.

Search. Cheapest of every eligible purchase option, not the first plan that fits.
Bars share one linear scale across the 3 counted stages, so a multiplier shows as length. Units differ by stage and are labelled. Cash is not on that scale.
100,000 standard searches → 100,000 request → Search $0.00/mo = $0.00 per 1,000 searches

What consumes a unit
This is where a bill actually grows. One operation is not one billed unit, and the multiplier is published here rather than on the pricing page.

What TinyFish does not publish
- Fetch is free, but its 1,000 URLs per day limit is a hard ceiling, so a general page-scraping workload above roughly 30,000 pages a month cannot be run on it at any price.
- An Agent step is not defined in units a buyer can forecast, so the $0.016 per step rate does not convert to a cost per page, per search, or per completed task.
- Failure billing for Agent and Browser is not published.
- The paid APIs have no published overage cap beyond the wallet balance itself.
Product scope and returned result
TinyFish publishes four API surfaces: Agent, Search, Fetch, and Browser. Search runs a web search and returns structured results with position, site name, title, snippet, and URL, and can be pointed at web results, news, or research papers through its domain_type parameter. Fetch retrieves up to 10 URLs in one call and returns markdown by default, with HTML and a structured JSON document tree as alternatives. Agent takes a natural-language goal and works through a live site to complete it. Browser exposes a remote browser session. (TinyFish pricing, Search API, and Fetch API, retrieved 2026-09-01).
Every request to every surface, including the free ones, requires an X-API-Key header, so an account is needed even where no payment is. (TinyFish authentication, retrieved 2026-09-01).
Every recorded meter
Two of the four surfaces have no price at all. In TinyFish’s own words, “Search never draws from your wallet, it’s free at any balance, including $0”, and Fetch carries the same sentence. Neither has a monthly allowance, a credit balance, or an expiry. (Search API and Fetch API, retrieved 2026-09-01).
The two paid surfaces are metered against a prepaid wallet:
- Agent costs $0.016 per step. (TinyFish pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01).
- Browser costs $0.002 per browser minute. (TinyFish pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01).
There are no recurring plans, no subscription, no seats, and no monthly minimum. The wallet is topped up with a $10.00 minimum, new accounts start with $8 of wallet funds, and auto-reload is available after the first deposit. (TinyFish pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01).
At a $0 balance nothing breaks: Search and Fetch keep running within their limits and an Agent run already under way finishes, but Agent and Browser need funds to start. (TinyFish pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01).
The limit that replaces the price
Because Search and Fetch cost nothing, the ceiling on them is a rate limit rather than a bill. Search allows 30 requests per minute and 500 requests per hour. Fetch allows 150 URLs per minute and 1,000 URLs per day. (TinyFish pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01).
That daily Fetch cap is the number that decides whether TinyFish fits. One thousand URLs a day is roughly thirty thousand pages a month, so a general page-scraping workload larger than that cannot run on Fetch at any price, and no amount of wallet funding raises it. This site therefore prices TinyFish on the search and browser workloads and does not enter it as a general scraping API, because a $0 total for a job the published limits cannot serve would mislead rather than inform.
Concurrency starts at 2 concurrent Agent runs and 5 concurrent Browser sessions. Both are raised by talking to sales rather than by adding funds, so they are an account setting rather than something a buyer can purchase on the spot. (TinyFish pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01).
What TinyFish does not publish
- A definition of an Agent step. The $0.016 rate is published, but nothing public converts a step into a page, a search, or a completed task, so an Agent budget cannot be forecast from the rate alone. (TinyFish pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01).
- Whether a failed Agent or Browser run is billable. Search and Fetch cannot produce a charge because they never draw from the wallet, but the paid surfaces have no published failure rule. Sources reviewed: TinyFish pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01.
- Any spend cap above the wallet balance itself. Source reviewed: TinyFish pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01.
A change-monitoring detail worth the line
Fetch can return HTTP validators when include_etag_and_last_modified is set, and replaying them on a later request returns not_modified: true when the page has not changed. Conditional requests are single-URL only. For anyone re-checking a fixed list of pages on a schedule, that turns most checks into a cheap confirmation instead of a full re-read, and on TinyFish it is free either way. (Fetch API, retrieved 2026-09-01).
Priced alternatives for the same search job
- Exa Standard Search costs $7 per 1,000 requests, with up to 10 results in the base charge. (Exa API pricing, retrieved 2026-07-26).
- Tavily Project starts at $30 per month. (Tavily API credits, retrieved 2026-07-26).
- Firecrawl bills search at 2 credits per 10 results, inside a plan that starts at $19 a month, or $16 a month billed annually. (Firecrawl pricing, retrieved 2026-09-01).
The comparison a buyer should actually run is not price against price. It is whether the published Search and Fetch rate limits carry the intended volume, because below those limits TinyFish’s charge for this workload is zero and above them it is not available at all.
