Every available option was priced in advance from published vendor rules. Changing a control only switches between those checked options; nothing is sent anywhere and no account is needed.

  1. Successes you want

    100,000 standard searches

Your stated workload. Every vendor on this site is priced against this same number.

  2. × 1

    Attempts you are billed for

    100,000 standard searches

SerpApi does not bill failed fetches, so failures cost nothing here.

  3. × 1

    What the meter counts

    100,000 searchs

One attempt is one billed unit for this workload.

Searcher. Cheapest of every eligible purchase option, not the first plan that fits.

Bars share one linear scale across the 3 counted stages, so a multiplier shows as length. Units differ by stage and are labelled. Cash is not on that scale.

What SerpApi does not publish

What SerpApi is

SerpApi is a structured search-results API with separate engines for Google Search, Google Maps, Google Shopping, YouTube, and other search endpoints. It is for teams that need normalized result fields and engine-specific parameters without maintaining search-page parsers. SearchApi.io, Zenserp, and Serper.dev are its nearest named competitors. SerpApi stands apart in this comparison through the breadth of its engine catalog and a single-search meter that is independent of how many result records a successful call returns. How billing works

One unit is one successful search. A successful search counts once whether the response contains many results or no results. Cached searches, errors, and failed searches do not count toward the monthly allowance. Plans also carry an hourly search-throughput limit, so the monthly search total and the hourly capacity must both fit the workload. The common buying mistake is to compare plans only by monthly searches. A rank-tracking refresh or other batch can fit the month yet exceed the hourly allowance, which makes schedule shape part of procurement. The billing unit does not multiply with the number of results in the returned document. Engine choice changes the data requested, but the reviewed pricing page presents successful searches as the common plan meter rather than publishing separate engine multipliers. What SerpApi does not publish clearly

  • The pricing page does not state whether unused monthly searches roll into a later billing period. Source reviewed: SerpApi pricing, retrieved 2026-07-26.
  • The reviewed pricing and FAQ pages do not provide a single customer-side rule covering caching, retention, redistribution, and attribution of returned data. Sources reviewed: SerpApi pricing and SerpApi FAQ, retrieved 2026-07-26.
  • Custom contractual terms are available through the enterprise path, but a standard public enterprise price is not posted. Source: SerpApi enterprise, retrieved 2026-07-26.

Who it suits

SerpApi suits teams that need several search engines behind one API family and can measure usage as successful searches. Its model is especially legible when each application query maps to one engine call and batches can be paced within hourly capacity. It is less suitable when procurement requires public redistribution terms, guaranteed rollover, or a result-record meter rather than a search meter. The reason is that the operational unit is clear, while downstream data rights and unused-allowance treatment still need confirmation. Sources: SerpApi pricing and SerpApi FAQ, retrieved 2026-07-26.
