Bars share one linear scale across the 3 counted stages, so a multiplier shows as length. Units differ by stage and are labelled. Cash is not on that scale.

Limits and terms

What cloro publishes beyond the price: the limits a job runs into and the terms that change what a plan is worth. Each line links the page it comes from and the day it was read.

Speed, concurrency and sessions

  • Monthly plans have a hard credit cap with no overage charges; at zero balance requests are rejected with 403 INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS and queued async tasks move to FAILED. Email alerts at 80% and 100% of the allocation. source
  • All endpoints are rate limited to 1,000 requests per second; concurrency limits depend on the plan and exceeding either returns HTTP 429. source

Credits, renewal and billing

  • No pay-as-you-go: credits are allocated each billing cycle and unused credits expire; they do not roll over. source
  • No refunds; cancelling keeps access until the end of the current billing period. Upgrades prorate and preserve unused credits; downgrades apply at the next cycle. source

Other terms

  • Responses take 30-45 seconds on average according to cloro; an async endpoint with webhook delivery exists for high volume. source
  • Free-tier accounts are single-seat; every paid plan includes unlimited team members. source

What cloro does not publish

What cloro is

cloro is an API that returns search results as structured JSON, from Google Search and Google News and from AI answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Google’s AI Mode and AI Overviews. It is built for tracking what search engines and AI assistants say about a brand or a query.

How billing works

Plans are monthly credit subscriptions, from $30 for 37,500 credits to self-serve tiers of $5,000 a month; there is no pay as you go. Each request costs a base number of credits set by the engine: 3 for a Google search or a Google News search, 4 to 7 for the AI engines. Add-ons cost more: 2 credits for each extra page of Google results, 2 for state-level targeting on the AI engines, and 2 for a request answered while you wait rather than through the asynchronous endpoint. Only successful responses are charged.

Before you buy

Monthly credits expire at the end of the cycle and there is no overage: at zero balance requests are refused until you upgrade. There are no refunds; upgrades are prorated and keep unused credits. Responses take 30 to 45 seconds on average by cloro’s own figure, so high volumes go through the asynchronous endpoint with a webhook. The free tier gives 500 credits a month with one request at a time.

Who it suits

cloro suits teams tracking rankings and AI-assistant answers side by side. For Google results alone, 100,000 searches need 300,000 credits, which fall on the $250 Starter plan; the SERP API prices compare that with every API priced per search.
