Limits and terms

What Webscraper.io publishes beyond the price: the limits a job runs into and the terms that change what a plan is worth. Each line links the page it comes from and the day it was read.

Speed, concurrency and sessions

  • Parallel tasks limit how many jobs run at once; extra jobs are queued until a task is free. source

What you may do with the results, and how long they are kept

  • Data retention is 30 days on Project, 30 days on Professional and 60 days on Scale. source

Credits, renewal and billing

  • Credits renew at the beginning of the next billing cycle; upgrades apply at any time and downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. source

Support and service levels

  • Web Scraper Cloud does not support data extraction from social media platforms, including LinkedIn. source

Other terms

  • Sitemap execution limits: 20,000 start URLs, 100 selectors, and 10 minutes of continuous JavaScript execution per URL. source
  • The Cloud API launches an existing sitemap; it does not accept an arbitrary URL and return a ready-made dataset. source

No public price. The vendor's published terms do not give a complete price for this job.

What Webscraper.io does not publish

What Webscraper.io is

Webscraper.io makes Web Scraper, a free browser extension for building sitemaps, point-and-click recipes that tell it which links to follow and which data to keep. Web Scraper Cloud runs those sitemaps on its servers, on a schedule, and exports the results. Its API starts a saved sitemap; it does not take an arbitrary URL and return the page, so it is a tool rather than a scraping API.

How billing works

The Cloud plans are priced per month but billed a year at a time. Project includes 5,000 URL credits a month and Professional 20,000; one credit is used each time Cloud loads a page, listing and detail pages alike, however many records the page yields. There is no overage: at the limit you upgrade or wait for the next month’s credits. Scale drops the credit count and charges per concurrent scraper instead, from $200 a month for two, with unlimited URL credits. Residential proxy traffic is an add-on at $2.50 per GB.

Before you buy

A 7-day trial of Cloud needs no card. Results are kept for 30 days on Project and Professional and 60 on Scale, so export them on a schedule. Cloud does not scrape social media sites, LinkedIn included.

Who it suits

Webscraper.io suits people who already build sitemaps in the extension and want them to run unattended. At 20,000 pages a month on Professional, a page costs about half a cent; past that, Scale’s flat price per scraper or a scraping API billed per page is usually cheaper, and the calculator prices your volume on each API.
