About this site
Every scraping vendor bills in a unit it invented, which makes their prices genuinely hard to compare. This site does that arithmetic and shows its working.
The problem this solves
A vendor's pricing page tells you what a plan costs. It does not tell you what your job costs, and the difference is usually large. One request can consume 1 credit or 75 depending on the target domain, whether the page needs a browser, and which proxy pool it goes through. Some vendors bill you for requests that fail. Some cap a plan with no overage, so being slightly over your allowance means paying for the next tier.
So the useful question is not what a vendor charges per credit. It is what you will be billed at the end of the month for the work you actually need doing, and whether somebody else would charge less for exactly that.
We answer that, and we show the arithmetic next to the answer so you can check it against the vendor's own page.
Rules we hold ourselves to
No invented numbers. Every figure is copied from a vendor's own page or computed from figures that were, and a visible unknown always beats a plausible guess.
Rankings are computed before any commercial relationship is considered. Sorting is by price. If a link on this site ever earns us a commission it is labelled, and the code that ranks products does not know which links those are.
Assumptions are shown, not buried. Where a number depends on an assumption, the assumption sits next to it in the same sentence.
We do not benchmark. We have not measured any vendor's success rate or speed, and we will not imply that we have. Where a benchmark is worth citing, we name whoever ran it.
Who runs it
Built and maintained by Adrian Nutiu, alongside a small group of independent data and reference sites.
We are not affiliated with any vendor listed here, and no vendor pays for placement, inclusion, or a better position. Vendors are welcome to correct their own data and several rows exist because someone did.
Getting in touch
Corrections, missing vendors and misread billing rules: data@scrapingapiprices.com. Include the page and the figure and it will be checked against the vendor's own documentation.
