What does a SERP API cost per 1,000 searches?

Answer first3 cited sourcesUpdated 2026-07-26

Published self-service SERP API rates run from $0.30 to $25 per 1,000 standard Google searches across the Serper, DataForSEO, and SerpApi offers compared here; the $0.30 rate requires Serper’s $3,750 prepaid 12.5-million-query pack, while the $25 rate is SerpApi’s monthly 1,000-search Starter plan. What the range includes

This is a range of published prices, not an average and not a claim that every request has the same scope. Serper lists $50 for 50,000 queries, $375 for 500,000, $1,250 for 2.5 million, and $3,750 for 12.5 million. Those packages normalize to $1.00, $0.75, $0.50, and $0.30 per 1,000 queries. Serper says credits are valid for six months and that successful responses deduct credits. Source: https://serper.dev/ (retrieved July 26, 2026).

DataForSEO publishes three Google SERP delivery modes. Its Standard Queue rate is $0.0006 per search page, or $0.60 per 1,000; Priority Queue is $0.0012, or $1.20 per 1,000; Live is $0.002, or $2.00 per 1,000. The page states a $50 minimum account deposit and says the base price covers one search page containing up to 10 results. It also warns that some parameters and advanced functions increase the price. SerpApi’s current recurring plans are Free at 250 searches per month, Starter at $25 for 1,000, Developer at $75 for 5,000, Production at $150 for 15,000, and Big Data at $275 for 30,000. The first three paid plans normalize exactly to $25, $15, and $10 per 1,000 included searches; the Big Data package remains stated as its published $275 for 30,000 rather than as a rounded unit price. SerpApi says only successful searches count, while cached, errored, and failed searches do not. Source: https://serpapi.com/pricing (retrieved July 26, 2026).

The correct comparison depends on cash commitment, credit expiry, delivery mode, result depth, engine, geography, and parameters. A prepaid bulk pack with six-month validity is not the same billing term as a monthly subscription, and a queued response is not the same delivery mode as a live response. Pagination can also create additional search pages, while DataForSEO explicitly prices its base unit around up to 10 results. For a purchasing decision, define the engine, number of result pages, response mode, monthly volume, and acceptable prepayment first. Then compare only offers eligible for that exact workload and billing term.
