JavaScript rendering adds no separate charge at ScrapingFish, 4 credits per successful generic datacenter request at Scrape.do and ScrapingDog when moving from 1 to 5 credits, or 9 credits at ScrapeOps when moving from 1 to 10, across the four explicit schedules reviewed here. Why the rendering premium varies

ScrapeOps charges one credit for a normal request and 10 credits for standard JavaScript rendering, an increase of nine credits and a 10x total. It also offers a cheap JavaScript mode at five credits, but documents that mode as using a limited provider set. At 100,000 successful requests, those three modes consume 100,000, 1,000,000, or 500,000 credits respectively. Scrape.do publishes one credit for a normal datacenter request and five credits for a datacenter request with browser rendering. That is an increase of four credits and a 5x total. Residential routing is a different workload: the documented totals are 10 credits without browser rendering and 25 with it, so changing both routing and rendering at once is not the generic datacenter comparison. ScrapingDog also lists one credit for a rotating-proxy request and five credits for a JavaScript-rendered request, again an increase of four credits. ScrapingFish publishes $0.002 per successful request and says JavaScript rendering and browser use are charged at that same request rate, so its published rendering increment is zero dollars for that request type. Some vendors express the difference in dollars instead of credits. On Oxylabs’ Micro Web Scraper API plan, other targets without JavaScript are $1.15 per 1,000 results and other targets with JavaScript are $1.35 per 1,000, a published difference of $0.20 per 1,000 for that plan and target class. Higher plans publish different unit rates, so the Micro difference should not be applied to another billing tier. Other products bundle rendering into the base service. Bright Data lists full browser rendering as included with Web Unlocker and prices its pay-as-you-go offer at $1.50 per 1,000 successful requests, without a separate rendering line on that pricing page. To forecast the addition, hold target, routing, billing plan, and success-status rule constant, then compare only the non-rendered and rendered units in the same schedule. Mixing residential routing, target premiums, or a different plan into the comparison would attribute more than JavaScript rendering to the rendering line.
