The boundary

After recurring free allowances are excluded, SerpApi is lower for paid successful requests on a shared SERP type through 1,000 searches a month. At 1,001 searches, the SerpApi entry plan is exhausted while Zenserp’s first paid plan still has a much larger allowance, so Zenserp becomes lower and remains lower through the tested one-million-search range. The boundary is sharp because neither vendor publishes a normal automatic overage rate on these plans. A paid workload that hovers around one thousand searches should use an exact count and growth margin rather than a rounded monthly estimate. The shared billing event is close. SerpApi says a successful search counts once even if it returns many results or none, and cached, errored, and failed searches do not count. How the billing models differ

SerpApi sells a long monthly ladder from a small entry allowance through several multi-million-search cloud tiers. It publishes hourly throughput for every plan and offers early renewal rather than a standard overage rate. Zenserp sells five paid monthly bundles plus a recurring free plan, states that all its published SERP types are included, and does not publish an overage price. Who should pick which

Pick SerpApi at or below 1,000 monthly successful searches when its entry plan and throughput fit, or whenever its broader engine coverage is mandatory. Pick Zenserp from 1,001 through one million shared searches when its engine set serves the job and its unverified rate limit does not block the delivery window. If the workload requires a niche engine, cached responses, unusually high burst throughput, or a strict retention contract, settle those constraints before using the price boundary.
