What is calculated and what is checked. This guide is not a market ranking, so it carries no computed winner: the site's market band prices 100,000 JavaScript-rendered pages a month, and quoting it here would answer a question this page never asked. The prose below is written by a person. Each money figure is checked against the dated vendor price stored with this guide, but that does not mean the vendor page was freshly rechecked. A mismatch must be explained by the shown arithmetic or another cited vendor fact, or the page is not published.

The lowest paid request rate calculable from directly published plan prices for a dedicated Walmart route is $0.136364 per 1,000 requests on ScrapingDog’s largest credit plan, where a Walmart call costs five credits. The same endpoint costs $1 per 1,000 on its $40 Lite plan. Decodo Web Scraping API’s dedicated Walmart target template calculates to $0.853448 to $1 per 1,000 Premium results across its listed plans, while ScrapingBee’s light Walmart mode calculates to $0.748750 to $1.96 per 1,000 requests and its normal mode calculates to $1.123125 to $2.94. (ScrapingDog pricing, ScrapingDog API documentation, Decodo target templates, Decodo pricing, ScrapingBee pricing, ScrapingBee credit system, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

SearchApi.io and SerpApi sell dedicated Walmart searches at one successful search per billing unit. Bright Data Web Unlocker and Web Scraper API instead charges $1.50 per 1,000 delivered product, search, or review records on its Walmart scraper. A delivered row is not a submitted page, so that record price cannot be converted into a per-page rate without the required and delivered row counts. (SearchApi pricing, SearchApi Walmart API, SerpApi pricing, SerpApi Walmart Search API, Bright Data Walmart Scraper, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

The ScrapingBee calculations use the provider’s four public credit plans: $49 for 250,000 credits, $99 for 1 million, $249 for 3 million, and $599 for 8 million. Its Walmart documentation assigns 10 credits to light mode and 15 to normal mode. ScrapingDog assigns five credits to a Walmart request across plans ranging from $40 for 200,000 credits to $30,000 for 1.1 billion credits. (ScrapingBee pricing, ScrapingBee credit system, ScrapingBee Walmart API, ScrapingDog pricing, ScrapingDog API documentation, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

Oxylabs Web Scraper API documents dedicated Walmart Search and Walmart Product targets, but its public pricing page divides rates among Amazon, Google, other sites, and JavaScript results without mapping the Walmart targets to a priced category. Crawlbase documents Walmart product, search, and category scrapers, while its public pricing page presents domain-dependent pricing rather than a static Walmart number I could verify. Both ship dedicated routes, but neither receives a numeric per-1,000 figure here because assigning one would require an inference or an unrecorded calculator result. (Oxylabs Web Scraper API targets, Oxylabs Web Scraper API pricing, Crawlbase Scrapers, Crawlbase pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

What dedicated Walmart endpoints change

Walmart-specific products usually distinguish search from product detail. ScrapingBee returns structured search or product data and accepts ZIP code, store, and device inputs. SearchApi and SerpApi expose Walmart search parameters and parsed shopping results. Oxylabs separates Search and Product targets, Crawlbase adds Category, and Bright Data offers product, search, and review records. (ScrapingBee Walmart API, SearchApi Walmart documentation, SerpApi Walmart Search API, Oxylabs Web Scraper API targets, Crawlbase Scrapers, Bright Data Walmart Scraper, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

That specificity changes the workload definition. A product-detail call follows one item, a search call follows a term and result page, a category call follows a taxonomy page, and a review product can deliver many separately metered rows. The dedicated schema removes the buyer’s page-parser work, but it does not make one search equal to one product or one review record. (ScrapingBee Walmart API, Crawlbase Scrapers, Bright Data Walmart Scraper, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

Protections and their cost implications

Walmart’s Terms of Use prohibit robots, spiders, and other automatic devices, processes, and means from accessing the services for any purpose without Walmart’s prior written permission. Permission is therefore part of the project cost and scope, independent of the vendor selected. (Walmart Terms of Use, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

For separately permitted work, the vendor products expose two concrete cost drivers. ScrapingBee prices a light mode without JavaScript at 10 credits and a normal mode with JavaScript at 15 credits. Bright Data lists browser rendering, proxy management, CAPTCHA handling, and parsed output inside its Walmart product. Client execution and challenge handling therefore appear as explicit service features or higher credit consumption, but the cited pages do not establish a success rate, speed, or reliability figure. (ScrapingBee Walmart API, ScrapingBee credit system, Bright Data Walmart Scraper, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

Location is a data dimension as well as an infrastructure setting. ScrapingBee documents ZIP code and store parameters, and SearchApi exposes location-related Walmart search inputs. A price or availability study covering several ZIP codes must make separate location-specific calls; one national query cannot be assumed to represent every store context. That multiplication is a direct cost implication of location-specific output. (ScrapingBee Walmart API, SearchApi Walmart documentation, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

Does Walmart have an official API?

Walmart publishes Marketplace APIs for approved sellers and solution providers. The documented interfaces cover the participant’s items, inventory, prices, promotions, orders, returns, fulfillment, reports, and other marketplace operations under OAuth-based access. Walmart’s introduction describes registration and authorization requirements but does not publish a separate per-call dollar tariff on that page. (Walmart Marketplace APIs, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

Those APIs answer an operational seller question, not the same question as collecting the consumer site’s search results across arbitrary products, stores, and ZIP codes. An approved marketplace seller should use them for its own catalog, inventory, pricing, and orders because they are the official system of record for that work. A market-wide shopper-search study needs different authorization and a different interface. The verifiable official-API monetary price is “no separate per-call price published on the cited introduction,” not an estimated fee and not a claim that every cost is zero. (Walmart Marketplace APIs, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

Worked calculation: the 10,000-search plan edge

Suppose an authorized retail study tracks 12 product terms in four ZIP codes, reads six result pages for each combination every day, and runs for 30 days. The planned search count is 12 x 4 x 6 x 30 = 8,640. SearchApi.io meters one successful HTTP 200 search as one request. Its Developer plan publishes 10,000 searches for $40, while its next listed tier, Production, publishes 35,000 searches for $100; no automatic overage rate is published. (SearchApi pricing, SearchApi Walmart API, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

The workload figures above are explicit scenario inputs. Every vendor figure used below comes from these fields in data/vendors/searchapi.json:

Worked calculation: the 10,000-search plan edge table

Dataset field Stored value Source
plans[Developer].usd_mo $40 SearchApi pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.
plans[Developer].included_amount 10,000 searches SearchApi pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.
plans[Production].usd_mo $100 SearchApi pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.
plans[Production].included_amount 35,000 searches SearchApi pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.
meters[search.query] 1 request per search SearchApi pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.
success_billing Only HTTP 200 responses consume searches SearchApi pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.
plans[Developer].overage_usd_per_unit Not published SearchApi pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.

Assuming the plan is sized for 8,640 billable successful searches, the Developer tier leaves 10,000 - 8,640 = 1,360 searches unused. The plan-capacity rate is $40 / 10,000 x 1,000 = $4 per 1,000 searches. Because this run uses only 86.4% of the allowance, its effective cash cost is $40 / 8,640 x 1,000 = $4.629630 per 1,000 planned successful searches. Both rates derive from the same $40 plan, but they answer different questions: one prices full capacity and the other prices this workload. (SearchApi pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

One more result page per term and ZIP adds 12 x 4 x 1 x 30 = 1,440 searches, producing 8,640 + 1,440 = 10,080. That is 80 searches beyond the Developer allowance. With no published overage rate, the smallest listed plan containing 10,080 searches is Production at $100 for 35,000 searches. It leaves 35,000 - 10,080 = 24,920 searches unused, and the workload-specific cash rate becomes $100 / 10,080 x 1,000 = $9.920635 per 1,000 planned successful searches. The extra page raises the planned search count by 16.666667%, but crossing the tier boundary raises the listed cash floor by $100 - $40 = $60. (SearchApi pricing, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

This threshold calculation is not a claim about failed-call frequency. SearchApi.io says failed requests do not consume searches, so the billable total must be reconciled to successful responses rather than inferred from submitted attempts. The same example still cannot be priced with Bright Data Web Unlocker and Web Scraper API until the required number of delivered search or product records is known, because its Walmart scraper uses a delivered-record meter. (SearchApi pricing, Bright Data Walmart Scraper, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

Walmart’s published position on automated access

As of Jul. 26, 2026, Walmart’s published Terms of Use prohibit using robots, spiders, or other automatic means to access its services without prior written permission. (Walmart Terms of Use, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)

Use the official Marketplace APIs for approved seller operations they actually cover. For a separately permitted consumer-search project, calculate search, product, category, and review work independently, include every ZIP code and page in the request count, and keep delivered-record pricing separate from submitted-request pricing. (Walmart Marketplace APIs, ScrapingBee Walmart API, Bright Data Walmart Scraper, retrieved Jul. 26, 2026.)
