How hard to scrape: Hard, with CAPTCHAs, IP reputation checks, rate limits, pages built by JavaScript and country restrictions in the way; JavaScript rendering needed.

Target access and billing context

Access

Hard JavaScript rendering is required, which multiplies the meter on most vendors.
JavaScript requiredyes

Easy means no protection is recorded; moderate, rate limits or fingerprinting without CAPTCHAs; hard, CAPTCHAs and IP checks that usually call for residential proxies; very hard, all of that plus measures such as TLS fingerprinting, a login wall in front of most data or honeypot links.

Terms

Google's terms ban automated access that ignores robots.txt; Google Jobs results sit on google.com/search, which google.com/robots.txt disallows for all user agents.

The target's own terms

What you scrape moves the bill more than who you buy from. A target that forces JavaScript rendering or a residential exit multiplies the meter before any plan is chosen.

What volume means for Google Jobs

Google Jobs is the jobs panel inside Google Search, so one call returns one page of listings for one query and location. Covering 300 job titles in 40 cities is 12,000 calls for the first page of each, and each further page is another call. A listing’s full detail can be a second call: SerpApi’s single-listing engine now returns only ratings, so most of what a listing says comes from the search results themselves (SerpApi Google Jobs Listing API, read Oct 11, 2026).

Evidence to check before buying

  • The jobs panel is built by JavaScript, so a generic Google rate may need its rendering option, at a higher price.
  • Results depend on the location you search from, so set the country or city on every call.
  • google.com/robots.txt disallows /search, where these results sit (robots.txt, read Oct 11, 2026).
  • Many listings link to the employer’s own site or a job board, where the original posting and its terms apply.
