This page compares successful Google searches. Search-engine coverage, output depth, retention controls, and delivery behavior remain visible because they determine whether a cheaper request is the same job.
The engine uses each product’s target-specific meter and keeps unpublished conversions out of exact-price order.
Who should stay with SearchApi.io
Stay when the current integration needs a monthly Google-search allowance, geographic targeting, and a billing rule in which only an HTTP 200 response consumes a request. The important operating test is the hourly ceiling: SearchApi.io allows up to 20 percent of the plan’s monthly searches in one hour. On a 100,000-search allowance, that is 20,000 searches in an hour (100,000 × 20%). If the real peak fits that ceiling and standard retention is acceptable, changing vendors solves no demonstrated problem. What a switch does not automatically replace
Serper.dev replaces the monthly allowance with prepaid credits that expire after six months and publishes query-per-second limits. SerpApi keeps monthly allowances and excludes cached, errored, and failed searches, but uses its own plan-specific hourly throughput. Neither alternative’s record establishes that it reproduces SearchApi.io’s response formats, search-engine coverage, retention treatment, or enterprise zero-retention option. Those are migration checks, not benefits implied by a lower computed bill. (Serper.dev, retrieved 2026-07-26; SerpApi pricing, retrieved 2026-07-26; SearchApi.io Search Analytics documentation, retrieved 2026-07-26.)
The deciding condition is the busiest hour, not the monthly average. If that hour exceeds 20 percent of the selected allowance, compare another throughput model or a custom SearchApi.io arrangement. If it does not, stay unless a required output or retention term fails review. (SearchApi.io pricing, retrieved 2026-07-26.)
