Serper.dev alternatives
Serper.dev has no public price for 100,000 searches a month, so no saving can be worked out against it. The lowest complete bills for the same job are DataForSEO SERP API at $60.00, ScrapingDog at $90.00, Scrape.do at $99.00.
Prices read on each vendor's own pricing page; dates on every row. How we check prices

Who should stay with Serper.dev
Stay when prepaid inventory is preferable to a recurring monthly allowance and the purchased credits will be consumed within their six-month validity window. Each successful response consumes one credit, while the published packages allow from 50 to 300 queries per second. That makes the real decision a pairing of drawdown time and peak query rate, not the smallest effective unit figure shown in the table. (Serper.dev, checked 2026-07-26.)
What a switch does not automatically replace
SerpApi and SearchApi.io use monthly allowances rather than Serper.dev’s six-month prepaid balance. SerpApi publishes plan-specific hourly throughput and excludes cached, errored, and failed searches. SearchApi.io bills only HTTP 200 searches and limits an hour to 20 percent of the plan’s monthly allowance. Moving to either one gives up Serper.dev’s published prepaid validity and query-per-second package structure, and the engine does not prove equivalent response schemas or search coverage. (SerpApi pricing, checked 2026-07-26; SearchApi.io pricing, checked 2026-07-26; Serper.dev, checked 2026-07-26.)
The deciding calculation is simple: expected successful searches before expiry must be at least the credit package you buy, and peak queries per second must remain within that package’s limit. If either condition fails, a monthly alternative is the cleaner fit. (Serper.dev, checked 2026-07-26.)
