Steel.dev alternatives
The first 12 comparable products for 200 metered browser-session hours a month, excluding separate proxy and model charges. Sorted by the published bill and amount, never by who pays us; the full category route includes every relevant product.
The datum line
The substitution
Steel.dev has no exact bill for this workload, so the deltas below are absent rather than estimated. Each alternative still carries its own published figure and state.

The page asks for managed browser time. Steel.dev’s plan price cannot become a browser-hour total until a public meter supplies the required conversion.
Eligible alternatives are normalized and priced through the engine. Steel.dev and any other uncomputable record remain visible with the current vendor link.
Who should stay with Steel.dev
Stay when the existing automation depends on Steel.dev’s combined browser, proxy, CAPTCHA, and scrape account and the account exposes current meter rates that the readable public page does not. The self-serve limits are concrete: Launch allows 10 concurrent sessions lasting up to 15 minutes with 7-day retention, while Scale allows 100 sessions lasting up to one hour with 14-day retention. Enterprise adds 1,000 or more concurrent sessions, sessions up to 24 hours, reserved pools, stealth, and custom dedicated-IP arrangements. What a switch does not automatically replace
Browserbase publishes browser-hour allowances, 25 or 100 concurrent browsers on its public plans, and a six-hour maximum session, with Search, Fetch, Extract, and proxy traffic metered separately. Its record does not establish an equivalent for Steel.dev’s enterprise reserved pools, 24-hour sessions, or current scrape-call contract. Moving may make browser-hour arithmetic visible, but it still requires session lifecycle, proxy, CAPTCHA, and scrape behavior to be revalidated. (Browserbase pricing, retrieved 2026-07-25; Browserbase session timeouts, retrieved 2026-07-25; Steel.dev pricing update, retrieved 2026-07-25.)
Session duration and concurrency decide it. A self-serve Steel.dev job that needs more than one hour does not fit Scale’s published limit. Browserbase publicly allows up to six hours, while Steel.dev Enterprise advertises up to 24. Compare those routes before comparing totals.
