What is credit expiry?

Credit expiry is the rule for credits you paid for but did not use. Many monthly plans reset their allowance at the end of each billing period, so unused credits are lost; some vendors let part of them roll over, and some sell packs that are kept until spent.

In more detail

The vendor examples below were read on the dates given in the text; the table above holds each vendor's current figure.

Why it changes what a plan costs

A plan’s price per credit assumes you use the whole allowance. If your volume swings from month to month, every month below the allowance raises what you really paid per page, and a reset rule means the quiet months cannot pay for the busy ones. A vendor whose credits roll over, or a pack that does not expire, can be cheaper over a year even when its headline rate is higher.

The table shows the rule each vendor publishes, with the day it was read. A vendor that is not listed has not published one; ask before you buy credits in advance.
